Shaman has a lot going for him in a moderate-sized package. He has a beautiful, typey head with loads of wrinkle, plenty of bone and a really nice front and rear. His most outstanding asset, though, is his incredibly fluid and correct movement. He has reach and drive to spare. His legs track straight and true. He thoroughly enjoys dog shows and is definitely one of those dogs who puts emphasis on the word 'show'.

Shaman's temperament is sweet and outgoing. He is always well aware of his surroundings and has never gone through a shy period, but instead is always willing to make new friends or discoveries wherever he goes. He is starting competitive obedience and agility. Shaman is extremely intelligent, always thinking and a tireless companion on hikes. Those mental wheels are always turning as well. He has an aloof kind of personality, with many acquaintances but few good friends, and those few have earned his respect and devotion for a lifetime.

Shaman's pedigree is a wonderful combination of what we feel is some of the best from both a show and health clearance standpoint. His litter sister, Maisy and their mother Amy have passed every health test possible. Amy is barely showing any signs of aging at almost eight years old other than a very few grey hairs in the muzzle. Shaman's first son, Keeper, is a very promising young boy as well.

Shaman is possibly a homozygous brindle (meaning all of his children will be brindle).

Our newest Bred-By-Exhibitor Champion, Shaman, finished under Jean Fournier June 22, 2003. He is on his way to becoming the third Mastiff to have passed all health testing, have a championship and obedience title, and the first ever to have accomplished these things completely breeder-owner handled! We could not be prouder of our apricot brindle boy.
